Missionary Homecoming & Farewell Gift Ideas
Homecomings and farewells are among the most photographed days a Utah family has. The gift problem is real: you want something that shows up in the pictures, works at an airport or a porch, and doesn't end up in a drawer.
Gift ideas that actually suit the moment
The moments people decorate for are the mission call opening, the farewell before they leave, the SLC airport arrival, the welcome-home porch, and the open house afterwards. Each wants something different — an airport pickup needs to be carryable and visible from a distance; a porch reveal needs to survive being outside.
Our Large Head Missionary is built for exactly this: a larger-than-life piece for the moment everyone photographs. It reads from across an arrivals hall and it looks right on a front lawn.
Signs, posters, or something with height?
Most families start by searching for a welcome home sign. Signs work — they're just flat, and in a crowd they disappear below eye level. Something with height solves the problem a poster has at an airport: being seen before they reach you.
You can use both. A sign to hold, and something tall behind it.
Timing
Homecoming dates move. Flights change. Tell us the date you think it is and we'll work around it — call (801) 644-9312. We can often help with 24 hours' notice if the flight shifts.
