Get Well Gift Ideas — Latex-Free Options for Utah Hospitals

Choosing a get well gift is harder than it should be. Flowers are banned in a lot of wards. Food depends on what they're allowed. Nobody wants another teddy bear.

Latex-free, because many hospitals require it

This is the part most gift sites miss. A lot of hospitals restrict latex balloons for allergy reasons, and some restrict balloons entirely in certain units. Locally Twisted keeps latex-free get well bouquets built from foil only, so the gift is not turned away at the door.

Current latex-free options: the Shooting Star, the Bandage, and the Butterfly get well bouquets.

Before you send anything to a hospital

Check two things with the ward: whether balloons are allowed at all, and whether they require latex-free. It takes one phone call and saves a wasted delivery. We are happy to talk it through — (801) 644-9312.

If they're recovering at home

Fewer restrictions, and a balloon delivery does something a card can't: it's visible from the doorway, and it stays up for days. The full delivery range covers cheer-up, congratulations and thinking-of-you moments too.
